The teaching of the Catholic religion: a contribution to the education of new generations in the context of a

The beginning of the twenty-first century is being characterized as a period of global, multicultural, multiethnic and multi-religious , coming to bring about an increasingly complex society. The complexity lies a dual reality, one side can be an asset, potential, a set of resources to be exploited, on the other side can lead to confusion and bewilderment, apathy, frustration, fear. In this reality we are called to work as educators of new generations in this society, local and European, IRC (Catholic Religious Education) is requested to contribute to the education of new generations. IRC is required to be in the European School discipline with a precise epistemological status, while remaining true to its peculiarities. The IRC is a discipline that has its epistemological status, although still in embryonic and not fully established while at the same time is a discipline that has as its content system that of Christian doctrine, this is not the will of the Church, but by virtue of a law of the Italian state, the result of the arrangement. On these issues we are facing the Catholic religion teachers, trainers of trainers, delegates of the eighteen dioceses Sicilian present the sixth regional course held in Acireale upgrade 25 to 28 March 2009. At the edge of legality

Today there is often episodic of continuous breach of the rules and, in particular, those relating to civil society. These actions are those that show, most, not the rule of law. In addition we want attention all the illegal actions instead appear as good and fair practices. These are the actions that impact heavily on the educational practice of the younger generation. In other words, here we refer to a whole way of managing the common good as a private thing, the management of a public service role as an opportunity to bestow the privileges and not as a service tied to a public function held in the name of the state or a any organization. We must clarify what is legal and what is not, that is, what are the limits of legitimate and illegal act. In other words, understand the objective categories that allow us to understand if we are faced with a legal or illegal. I think today many people have lost the objective references of law. You can also do something illegal for a good purpose, I think that Machiavelli is present in the DNA of many people of our time, especially in people who hold different roles including management of a public service. "The end", even the most noble, can not "justify the means." You can manipulate any organization or place of employment to obtain money, personal prestige, for nepotism, for political purposes, for a professional career, or whatever. We can only judge the illegal exploitation for profit? I think the illegality in this case, lies instrumentalization of action and not only in the type of profit that it takes. We might say that make any organization or place of employment for profit or for political purposes, generate more outrage than the exploitation for personal prestige or professional career. What I want to highlight is the following concept: in any case we are dealing with an illegal action typically selfish and self-interest, where people are using as you use the "shoes", an action that violates and offends the dignity of the person human. The yardstick of what is permissible and the offense must always be the human person, business strategy, altruism, this means that we are called to always work for the common good. Working for the common good, according to the paradigm of altruism, in the end, however, facilitates and provides a view to those who manage an organization or a service. A good deed always rewards those who carry it, it comes to operating in compliance with all security and space of others. The education law, first of all, keep a style of life centered on the ethics of the common good. The first educational activity we do is our daily activities, both as parents and educators, both as managers of a service or organization. Those who hold public office is the custodian and guarantor of the legality of the common good, "minor" at large.
